We operate in over 90 countries and have a workforce of 4,000 talented, motivated, and diverse staff of all religions, races, languages, and gender identities.<p><br></p><strong>This Proposal Opportunity</strong><p><br></p>Palladium is seeking a Director-Strategic Communications &amp; MEL for the anticipated USAID Feed the Future (FTF) Bangladesh Inclusive Access to Finance Program, which is anticipated to begin in 2024. The inclusive access to finance program will increase access to finance for small- and medium-sized agribusinesses, smallholder farmers, and the rural poor. The activity will support agribusinesses and farmers to become more creditworthy, and stimulate increased lending from banks, microfinance institutions, and other lenders through the use of blended finance.<p><br></p><strong>Primary Duties And Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Create a branding and marking plan and oversee compliance throughout project implementation </li><li> Lead the development of and contribute to project reporting deliverables, including coordinating information gathering for reports and work plans, one-pagers, reports, etc. </li><li> Oversee the design and roll out of all tools to effectively communicate project activities and results, (i.e. website, videos, visual images, Investment Mapping System (IMS), press releases, flyers, newsletters, etc.) </li><li> Supervise communications and MEL staff as well as consultants (i.e. editors, graphic designers, video production teams, etc.) </li><li> Maintain project library of all communications tools, photos and events in a digital format </li><li> Conduct media relations for the project, including targeted publicity for project activities </li><li> Write press releases, organize press conferences, schedule interviews for spokespersons for the project, etc. </li><li> Maintain a close and collaborative relationship with USAID and the U.S. Embassy teams on all outreach and communications efforts </li><li> Support development of project events and workshops in collaboration with project teams </li><li> Maintain editorial calendar of communications topics and collaborate with program areas to ensure robust content pipeline </li><li> Any and all other project-related tasks as required by the Chief of Party and Palladium HQ </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Key Competencies Required</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Proven experience in communications and/or marketing </li><li> Experience managing communications on a USAID project </li><li> Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English </li><li> Microsoft office suite proficiency and the ability to operate spreadsheet and word-processing programs at a highly proficient level </li><li> Attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities </li><li> Experience working for large donor organizations such as USAID preferred </li><li> Local candidates are preferred </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Equity, Diversity &amp; Inclusion</strong> - Palladium is committed to embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion into everything we do.
